Pentax Optio WG-2 – Review

Pentax Optio WG-2 is introduced to deliver the spirit of adventuresome in rugged waterproof digital camera. This camera is equipped with the same lens, same features and body design that are similar with previous model of WG-1. However, this newest model has a movie mode of Full HD 1080p and a sensor of revamped image. It has a reptilian design as the representative of waterproof and rugged camera.

The body of Pentax Optio WG-2 has layered and hard exterior that makes the appearance of this waterproof camera has scales. This layered design actually gives the users more space to grip but it makes the body is not smooth thus makes it less comfortable to handle.

If you are seeking for a subtle and sleek camera so that you are able to slip in your pocket, Pentax Optio WG-2 does not meet your need. This camera is both durable and rugged and it can be seen through the tough shell which coats the outside.  Pentax Optio WG-2 comes in shinny orange and glossy white colors. This waterproof camera is also completed with GPS feature. The Pentax Optio WG-2 is impressive waterproof camera that is confident with its rugged persona. Even though its design is not charming and has definitely some to improve on its menu interface and button layout, but this waterproof camera has given great quality of photos and videos.

Consumer Review

I have now had the camera for more than a month but have not taken it into the water yet. I also own a second generation Pentax underwater camera that has served me well – and that I passed on to my son. This is supposed to be the thirteenth generation. I love that it goes to 40 feet, I can now carry it while I am spearfishing in Baja. I am looking forward to it. Read More Here
